Brad Blanchfield
Brad Blanchfield is currently the 16U White team head coach. With nine years experience coaching AAU basketball, Coach Blanchfield has strong ties to college basketball coaches across the country and has successfully secured scholarships for several of his past players. Some of Coach Blanchfield’s achievements as a youth basketball coach include a victory over two adidas Super Six teams in the adidas Super 64 tournament as a 17U coach, competition in the national AAU tournament in Orlando, and the acquisition of scholarships for seven of eight players on one of his teams.
Coach Blanchfield’s involvement with the Utah Pump-N-Run organization stems from a sincere passion for the game of basketball. His positive outlook, along with his charismatic and caring coaching style, make him a successful coach and mentor for up and coming youth basketball players.
Coach Blanchfield swam competitively for twenty years, starting in the AAU swim program and continuing on as a member of the University of Utah swim team. He has earned Associates of Science degrees in Scientific Glass Blowing and Business Administration and Bachelors of Science degrees in Spanish and Finance. Coach Blanchfield has worked at Varian Medical Systems for 21 years where he manages 38 employees in the manufacturing support department.
