Four times a week at 1:15 p.m., Kyle Collinsworth enters the weight room at BYU for the most grueling lifting sessions he’s ever encountered. During days at Provo High this spring he would have been in seminary at that time.
Now, he works out with other members of the state’s strongest college basketball team.
“It’s the type of workouts I’ve never even done before,” Collinsworth said.
The superlatives have been awaiting Collinsworth at BYU since he committed to the Cougars last October. Twenty-three points per game as a senior. Ten rebounds. Seven assists. NBA Top 100 camp attendee. Twice The Tribune basketball Player of the Year. A state championship as a sophomore.
